Does Nixis come with channels?
Nope. Nixis is just the app. We don’t sell or host any channels. Bring a login or playlist from a provider you’re allowed to use, link your own Plex, Jellyfin or Emby, or both.
Wait, so what’s My Channels?
Channels your TV makes out of your own movies and shows. It sorts your library into 24/7 channels like Comedy, 80s Movies or a marathon of your favorite series, then puts them on a guide. Flip one on and something’s already playing.
Does my library get uploaded anywhere?
No. Your TV talks to your media server itself and plays straight from it. Your sign-in stays on the TV, and we never see what’s in your library.
Do I have to install anything on my server?
Nope. No plugins, no extra apps. Your TV builds My Channels on its own. Just turn it on in Settings.
What counts as a device?
One TV, phone, tablet or computer with Nixis on it. Not a person, and not a stream. Remove one and its spot opens right back up.
What does it work on?
Pretty much everything: smart TVs, Apple TV, Android TV, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Mac and Windows. It’s the same app everywhere. A reseller can put their name and color on it, but underneath it’s still Nixis.
Where does my password go?
If you type it in on your TV, it stays on that TV. We never see it. If a reseller set it up for you, it’s locked away on our end and nobody can read it back, not even them.
Someone set up my TV for me. Can I make it mine?
Yep. Add it to your account and you can bring your own logins too, while your reseller’s setup keeps working. Want to leave the reseller completely? You can, and then the TV just needs a plan of your own.
Do resellers charge through Nixis?
No. Resellers pay us for their devices and sort out their own pricing with the people they help.
What if my plan runs out?
The TV stops playing, but nothing gets thrown away. Your TVs, logins and profiles are all still there when you renew.
